King and Carpenter unbeaten runs ended as top two are both beaten

It’s unchanged once again at the top of the Thursday League as Canton Libs A and Wellington Thursday were both shocked losing 3-2 to Senghenydd and Taffs Well respectively. The lead is still 4 pts but Wellington Thursday have that important game in hand. To continue the shock theme, both Steve King and Huw Carpenter lost their 100% records as Carl Dimond and Kevin Jones beat them. SWS stay in 3rd place with a comprehensive 4 – 1 win over Trec C and now find themselves 11pts off 2nd and 15pts off 1st. Roath Labour also won 4 – 1 against Savoy to stay in 4th place, thanks to a 37 break from Chris Richards. Cathays Cons stay in 7th with a 3 – 2 win over Gower. Trec B continue their excellent form after the Christmas break with a 3 – 2 win over No Balls. Elsewhere Canton Libs Z overcame an off coloured Rumney BL side 4 – 1.
