A 4-1 win for County Cons against South Wales Snooker A saw them close the gap on their rivals Canton Libs A to two points, after the champions recorded a 3-2 victory at home to Rumney British Legion. However, Park Club are hot on their heels after a 3-2 win against Canton Libs Z kept them in third place, while Senghenydd and Savoy both registered 4-1 away wins to ensure that the top 5 have started to break away from the rest. The only whitewash of the week came at Taff’s Well, where a 5-0 victory over South Wales B keeps them in the race to finish in the top 8. However, there is a slight gap emerging as Cuesaders, Canton Libs Z and Cathays Cons occupy the final 3 places for the halfway split. In the Individual Rankings, Dave Redrup, Sam Thomas and Ed Topham all made it a perfect 7 from 7, while Graeme Prance and Shaun O’Connell also maintained a 100% record for the season so far.
