Savoy win Premier League Cup

Congratulations to Savoy, as they beat Canton Libs A 3-1 in a good quality match at Taff’s Well. The draw looked very even, as four of the league’s highest ranking players were drawn against each other. Sam Thomas won the opener against Kishan Hirani thanks to a 52 break, but the lead was cancelled out by Terry Garland’s win over Albert Columbo. Mark Bennett then overcame Ed Topham in a close third frame, leaving Savoy one frame from victory. A potentially intriguing deciding frame was on the cards between Twm Jones and Ryan Rowlands, but Graham Bailey won a close 4th frame against Shaun O’Connell, with a very good clearance to the pink to seal the match for Savoy.
