Last season’s joint runners-up have started the season with a bang after both sealed 5-0 whitewashes in their opening games. Savoy A won their local derby against Savoy B, whilst Canton Libs A made an early statement of intent away to Cuesaders to make a perfect start.

The champions Taff’s Well B started with a victory after winning a close game 3-2 against Cathays Cons, and Taff’s Well A won by the same scoreline away to Park Club.

Canton Libs Z continued their good form from the end of last season with a 3-2 victory over Senghenydd, whilst Canton Libs managed a 4-1 win away to South Wales Snooker. Meanwhile, Mackintosh had a winning return to the league with a 3-2 win against Rumney British Legion.
