The first set of group matches took place this week, as teams looked to get off to a winning start.

In Group A there was a comfortable 73 point win for Cuesaders away to Cathays Cons, whilst Taff’s Well B clinched a very close match against Rumney British Legion by 25 points.

In Group B, there was a comprehensive 102 point victory for Mackintosh against Park Club, and a 85 point win for Canton Libs A at home to Taff’s Well A, with Kishan Hirani making an excellent 97 break.

In the Plate, Canton Libs B beat Savoy B by 87 points, and there was a 58 point victory for Senghenydd away to South Wales Snooker.
