Rhys Carpenter (Taff’s Well B) and Kishan Hirani (Canton Libs A) have reached the halfway stage of the season with their perfect 100% records intact after each recorded their 13th win in as many matches. However, their teams experienced mixed success after Taff’s Well B fell to their third 3-2 defeat in four matches away to Savoy A, whilst Canton Libs A won a close derby against Canton Libs B by the same scoreline.

These results allowed the Mackintosh to extend their lead at the top of the table by beating Park Club 4-1, despite only having four players and missing all three of their line-up that feature in the top 10 of the individual rankings.

Two of the form teams in the league Senghenydd and Cuesaders recorded their fifth wins in a row to keep up the pressure on 4th placed Savoy A after a 3-2 win against Rumney British Legion, and a 4-1 victory over Canton Libs Z respectively.

There were also 4-1 wins for Savoy B after they beat Taff’s Well A and Cathays Cons defeated South Wales Snooker.
