Taff’s Well B produced a thrilling comeback to defeat Canton Libs A 3-2 after being two down to close the gap at the top, and in doing so complete an impressive double over one of their title rivals. Canton had started well with comfortable wins for Kishan Hirani and Ed Topham, but a respotted black in the third frame started the comeback leaving Tom Cross to seal the win in the fifth frame.

However, the champions remain 4 points adrift of league leaders Mackintosh after they edged a tight affair 3-2 against in-form Senghenydd.

Savoy A beat Rumney British Legion 4-1 with a 76 break by Cardiff Open champion Ryan Rowlands being the highlight, whilst their neighbours Savoy B won a close match 3-2 away to Canton Libs B.

There were big wins for Cathays Cons who defeated Park Club 5-0 and Cuesaders who whitewashed South Wales Snooker, whilst Taff’s Well A continued their good recent form with a 4-1 victory against Canton Libs Z.
