The final of the Malcolm Keenor Trophy will be between Cuesaders and the 2013 champions Cathays Cons after they both secured excellent victories against two of the favourites for the competition.

Cuesaders won by 70 points against the holders Canton Libs A after Kishan Hirani had opened the match with a 91 break only a day after his 124 in the league, whilst Cathays Cons were victorious away to the Mackintosh to set up a very evenly-matched final on May 11th.

Meanwhile in the Plate Canton Libs B are through to the final after a close victory against close rivals Senghenydd, who will now defend a 361 point lead against Savoy A to decide who will secure the other place in the final, after they won the Barry derby by 53 points. The other match of the night saw Canton Libs Z got their first win of the competition against South Wales Snooker by 120 points.
