Canton Libs A have taken a big step towards the Premier League title after winning 3-2 against fellow challengers Mackintosh. Kishan Hirani once again won his frame in style with two 40+ breaks that contributed to a 3-0 lead, but the Mack fought back with wins for John Moore and Spencer Symmons ensuring a close result.

This gave the champions Taff’s Well B the chance to close the gap at the top, and they took maximum advantage by beating Canton Libs Z 5-0 to cut Canton’s lead at the top to two points with four matches to go.

The first of Taff’s Well B’s remaining games will be a very tough visit to Senghenydd who won again after a 5-0 win over South Wales Snooker to continue their very good form.

Cuesaders and Rumney British Legion both won close games 3-2 against Park Club and Savoy B respectively, whilst Taff’s Well A continue their resurgence with an excellent 4-1 win at Canton Libs B that moves them up to 7th in the table.
