Taff’s Well B won the first big match-up of the season with a 3-2 win away to Mackintosh to remain at the top of the Premier League, although the personal highlight was a 68 break by Jason Hewitt when a century looked likely. Taff’s Well are closely followed by Senghenydd who registered an excellent 4-1 win at Canton Libs B and look intent on challenging the top 4 this season.

Canton Libs A inflicted the first defeat of the season for Cuesaders with a 4-1 win at Llandaff, with Kishan Hirani making an early impression on the breaks board with a 78, whilst Taff’s Well A had a convincing 4-1 win against Park Club.

Rumney British Legion moved into second place in Division One with a 5-0 whitewash of Mackies Lost Boys, although they are behind the early pacesetters Cathays Cons who won a close match 3-2 at Canton Libs Z.

The early rankings table has been published with a handful of players managing a perfect 3/3 100% record so far.
