CDSA Tournaments Update

As the CDSA tournaments progress, we thought we’d update you on who’s through to the quarter-final stage –

Cardiff Open Singles

The big story of the competitions so far this season is the elimination of three-time winner and reigning champion Kishan Hirani by Taff’s Well A’s Steffan Davies. This has opened up the bottom half of the draw with none of the remaining players having previously featured in a Cardiff Open final, whilst two-time winner Ryan Rowlands still features in the top half.

Cardiff Handicap Singles

The Cardiff Handicap has some new names featuring in the latter stages with Canton Libs B’s Kieran Madden already through to the semi-finals, with Kishan Hirani and Ryan Rowlands looking to join him.

Cardiff Open Pairs

Kieran Madden features in the quarter-final line-up with James Wigmore after eliminating the strong pairing of Tom Cross and Kevin Brown from Taff’s Well B, whilst 2016 winners Kishan Hirani and Ed Topham will be looking to regain their title after joining them in the last eight.

Cardiff Handicap Pairs

Reigning champions Ryan Rowlands and Tom Davie were knocked out in the first round, so there will be plenty of pairings looking to take advantage including Hirani & Topham, Bennett & Lane and Brown & Cross who have all qualified for the quarter-finals.
