Savoy once again showed why they are reigning champions with a decisive 5-0 whitewash of Cathays Cons this week to take a firm grip of the Premier League title race. Colin Lane’s side have won five matches in a row dropping only two frames in the process to open up an 11 point lead on third-placed Taff’s Well B who won 3-2 against Mackies Lost Boys.

The closest challengers at the top are Mackintosh who beat Taff’s Well A 5-0 to stay 5 points behind the leaders, albeit having played a game more, with another decent break from Alan Hurley helping his side on their way.

Fairwater Cons got back to winning ways with a 4-1 win over Canton Libs Z, who are now 10 points behind Division One leaders Canton Libs B who beat Rumney British Legion by the same scoreline to establish themselves as favourites for the title as we approach the halfway point of the league season.

At the bottom of the Premier League table, Cuesaders recorded back-to-back wins with a 3-2 win at Senghenydd to move above them into sixth place.
