Breaks

Steffan Davies 75 (Taff’s Well A)
Kevin Brown 37 (Taff’s Well B)

The race for the Premier League is very much back on after Taff’s Well A won 3-2 at champions Savoy, with a 75 break by Steffan Davies being the highlight of the match, to limit the effect of the Barry’s side’s game-in-hand on challengers Mackintosh. The defeat, coupled with the 5 points that weren’t awarded due to late submission of results, means that their lead at the halfway stage is a single point.

Taff’s Well B closed the gap on the top two with a decisive 5-0 win over Cuesaders meaning the title race is looking like being a three-way battle, although Fairwater Cons continued their resurgence in form with a 5-0 victory over Mackies Lost Boys to stay within striking distance.

Cathays Cons got back to winning ways with a 4-1 win at Canton Libs Z, who have lost ground on Division One leaders Canton Libs B after they were awarded a 5-0 walkover victory over Senghenydd, who are deducted 6 points for not fulfilling the fixture, whilst Rumney British Legion won 3-2 at Trecenydd Snooker.
