Mackintosh continued their relentless form this week with a 5-0 whitewash of in-form Rumney British Legion to register their 9th win in a row and extend their lead at the top of the Premier League to five points over Savoy, who gained a hard-fought 3-2 win at Trecenydd.

However, the title may not be a two-horse race as Taff’s Well B won 5-0 at an under-strength Senghenydd to close the gap on the champions to 4 points, and stay within striking range of Mackintosh. The next two weeks look like being pivotal in determining the destiny of the league trophy, as Mackintosh face both of their title rivals in what should be an exciting and tense couple of matches.

Cuesaders made it back-to-back victories with a 3-2 win over Cathays Cons, whilst in Division One Canton Libs B missed the opportunity to take advantage of Canton Libs Z’s bye week after losing 3-2 at home to Fairwater Cons, and Taff’s Well A beat Mackies Lost Boys 4-1.
