Taff’s Well B inflicted Mackintosh’s first defeat in 10 matches with a 4-1 win this week to close the gap on the league leaders. The title race is looking like it will go to the wire with next week’s match between Mackintosh and Savoy looking like a massive encounter as we enter the final weeks of the season. The Barry side are now only one point behind Ronnie Allen’s team with a game in hand, after they kept up the pressure with a 4-1 win at home to Senghenydd.

The race for the Division One title took a decisive twist this week, with Canton Libs B beating their rivals Canton Libs Z 3-2 to increase their lead at the top of the table to 10 points, although the Zs do have a game in hand on James Wigmore’s side.

Fairwater Cons beat Trecenydd Snooker 4-1 who were without Dylan Emery who came runner-up in the U18 European Championships in Israel this week losing 4-3 to Ireland’s Aaron Hill, in what the organisers called a ‘magnificent final’ so congratulations to Dylan for doing so well.

Mackies Lost Boys are celebrating this week after only their second league victory of the season after they beat Cuesaders 3-2, whilst Taff’s Well A hit some good form with a 4-1 victory at Rumney British Legion.
