Savoy and Mackintosh are the leaders of Group A and Group B respectively after they both won 3-2 in the second round of matches in the Malcolm Keenor Trophy.

Group A is looking the closest after Savoy beat Trecenydd Snooker to move above Michelle Emery’s side in Group A, with Canton Libs B in third place after a 3-2 win at Cathays Cons after wins for James Wigmore, Rory Wigmore and James Facey, whilst Canton Libs Z drop down the table after a 3-2 home defeat to Senghenydd.

It’s looking like two teams from four in Group B with Mackintosh and Llandaff Warriors leading the way. Mackintosh were 3-0 up at Taff’s Well after wins for Khurram Khan, Jason Hewitt and Alan Hurley, but Rob Hayes and James Llewellyn won consolation frames to ensure they remain in contention for the top two places.

Llandaff continued their good form with a 4-1 win at Rumney British Legion with Mike Watts registering a 37 break, whilst Fairwater Cons moved into contention after a walkover victory over Cuesaders who failed to fulfil the fixture.
