FINAL, 13 APRIL 2006 Steve King completed a Thursday 'double' of Singles and Doubles titles with a 4-2 win against Bill Bainton. Steve took command early on, establishing a 3-0 lead, and looking likely for the whitewash. However, some solid play from Bill meant him winning a tight fourth before dominating the next to bring it back to 3-2. Steve convincingly won the sixth frame to complete a 'double' of final wins over Bill in 2005-06 after only recently beating him in the Thursday Pairs |
