in reply to bill’s comment, the roads or around the savoy and the savoy itsself were closed. So nobody could get to the club to collect their cues. Further more; dominic johns cancelled the game the previos saturday with john dobson so everybody assumed the game was cancelled with enough notice and would be replayed.
istill can not see why we were deducted six points and to reply i can not see trecenydd having six points deducted bill some one could have asked for both sides of the problem to why this game was cancelled
“The rules indicate that the Savoy are required to give two weeks’ notice except in exceptional circumstances, and they would have to be approved by the league sec. I was not informed of anything.
In addition, it is the responsibility of the captains to communicate, so for two players to have allegedly had a conversation, which happened after the supposed deadline for postponement, and which was not brought to the attention of the league sec, means there is very little of a case here as I see it.”
Colin, as far as we knew, the game wasnt cancelled. we were still waiting for you to turn up at gone 8.30. unfortunately thats why savoy were deducted points for a no-show
Tonight, we played Potters Bar at home (Penarth Rd), and i’ve just submitted the result of tonight which was 4-1 to us; but some of the names that they given us aren’t recognised on the Club and Squad Details; as I have checked on this website. The names that aren’t on their team are: K. Madden, D. Lines and J. Chapel.
I just thought i’d share this because I feel that i’m confused about the details.
how did savoy lose points for canceling a match dominic john told j.dobson on the prev. sat the snow closed the savoy for one week
in reply to colin’s remark about being snowed in, all the main roads were clear, We were also docked points but we acepted it thats the rules.
