Leaders Fairwater slip to second defeat

The Tuesday League leaders dropped to only a second defeat of the season, this time at the hands of Penarth British Legion, who finally lived up to their reputation as a dangerous floater in the draw. They hit back against Fairwater, sealed a 3-2 win, and gave some hope to Trec, who closed to one point behind, although they have played one game more. A convincing win for the Valleys boys in the one remaining match between the sides could throw the league wide open again.

Potters Bar nearly took a second win of the season from Savoy, while County Cons could either be satisfied with their fightback against the Uni, or disappointed they let the opening two frames slip in the first place. Highest break yet reported is the 56 James Llewellyn hit at County, but Uni may now have a chance to move up the league table despite not quite getting
the job done against Hayes and Co.
