Cup finalists confirmed: #Penarth Rd v Trecenydd; Canton Z v Taffs Well

A magnificent 93 by Sam Thomas in the deciding frame against Mike Rathkey took Penarth Road into the final of the Premier League Cup with an exciting 3-2 win at the Mackintosh. Penarth Road had gone 2-0 up before Mack levelled including a 68 from Jason Hewitt. They will play Trecenydd in the final after they beat Park 3-1 in the other semi-final.

The final of the Division One cup will be between Canton Libs ‘Z’ and Taffs Well. The Libs started the final frame in the semi-final 19 points down to Kiss Shot, but a great solid performance from David Thain won the match for them by 28 points. The other semi-final was also close, with only 20 points between Taffs Well and Cathays Cons prior to the final frame which Kevin Jones saw home.

The plate competition will be decided between Wellington Boot and Senghenydd.
