Jason Hewitt took a step closer to the Premier League rankings title last week as joint leader Mark Bennett lost in dramatic fashion to Sam Thomas, who cleared up with 35 to win by a point. With two games to go Jason now stands one win clear of Mark. Ralph Welch won his 9th game in a row last week.

With the defeat of Tony Palkowski last Thursday, only 2 people can take the title of Division One player of the year. These are Dave Standage and Kevin Jones, Dave can take the title if he wins just one more game and is the bookies favourite to do this. All should be revealed tomorrow.
