Canton Libs ‘A’ this week made up for the disappointment of missing out on the League by beating Rumney BL in a memorable Thursday Cup final. They had to come back from 2-1 down after the Legion took an early lead with wins from Glyn Hayes and Phil Evans. Frank Thomas made it level in the fourth frame and it needed a black ball win from Adam Jones against Andy Magill in the deciding frame to take the trophy to the Libs for the second time in three years.
