Registrations for the forthcoming 2013-14 season are now open.
Following on from the discussions at the AGM last week, it is expected that the format will remain with the standard league format with all teams playing on a Thursday night. However, due to demand, a Tuesday League will be arranged based on teams registering their interest to play on the extra night. Therefore it is important that teams register as soon as possible as it will allow the match secretaries to devise a structure. Teams are able to register for both nights as the leagues will run independently.

Thanks to information provided by ex-player Paul Crippin the roll of honour has been completed for seasons 1983-95. This now means we have got a pretty good record of the trophy winners for the past 30 years. There is an unfortunate gap in the Cardiff Open and Handicap from around the end of the nineties to the start of the 00s, from when the trophy winners weren’t included in the books and before the website began. Any more information that might fill the gaps is as usual appreciated.

A couple of minor corrections have been made to the Premier League fixtures on the site, both of which involve South Wales Snooker. The most immediate of this is that this coming Thursday they will be hosting Fairwater at home, and not playing away. The site has been updated and the word document fixture list has also been corrected if you want to download a new version. Apologies.

Please can you ensure that you are submitting your results promptly, along with information on the players that won and lost. The start of the season has seen some teams not sending in full information which means we are having to chase around for details on who played for the purposes of the rankings. The rules of the league state that results must be sent in by 9am on the Saturday morning.
