A reminder of how we use your data

As we approach the new season I thought it was timely to remind you how we use your personal data in administering the league and this website.
If you are new to the league please take the time to read the information, or if you are a captain please ensure team members are aware.

In general your personal data is used to keep you in touch with league matters, for players to contact each other during tournaments, and your names may be used in reports about the league on this website, social media or in the local newspapers. In particular if you have entered competitions your telephone numbers will appear on this site.

End of an era – CDSL forum closed for business

After way over a decade of banter, insults, arguments, match reports, virtual bookmakers and annual miss rule discussions we have decided to close the CDSL discussion forum Snooker Talk. It was no longer being used frequently, the software version was outdated, and we now have other channels for sharing information and exchanging views.

Thanks to everyone who contributed over the years and giving many of us many laughs (and myself as webmaster many hours of moderating), and to Jeff for setting it up and hosting it free of charge.

Join the CDSL discussion on Twitter, Facebook or the new WhatsApp group. Also feel free to use the comment function on this website to share reports or information.

Your information

A small amount of personal data is used throughout this site – for cookies, comments and online submission of results or player registrations. I’ve posted a new page on this site explaining how your data is used.

For those of you using the league forum we will be updating privacy information shortly but in the meantime please be assured the information you submitted is only used for administering the forum.

Finally we will prepare a wider statement in terms of matters such as photos etc in time for the league AGM.

Result submission form back online

After the early season controversy around match result submission that has the whole league talking, I have finally fixed the match result submission form. So please use this form or text James Llewellyn with the match result including details of players that won or lose please.

It would be useful for James and I if teams could test out the form with last week’s results.

The form can be found at http://cardiffsnooker.org.uk/submit-a-result/
