Matches are best of 5 with no handicaps.

Team orders to be drawn randomly. A team should arrive with its five players ready to play by 7.30pm. If a team is unable to do so, they may arrive and notify the opposition, who are free to accommodate a player arriving late AT THEIR DISCRETION. But they are equally entitled to do a complete blind and random draw, and if the player in question is not present to permit continuous play when his/her frame is due to begin, then the frame can be claimed.

Canton Libs ‘Z’ won the Division One cup in exciting fashion as the aggregate score format went to the final black, after the first four frames were close affairs. Canton were 37 points up against Taffs Well going into the final frame between David Thain of Canton and Will Williams of Taffs Well. Will looked like he was going to nick it for Taffs Well before David knocked in the colours to leave himself straight on the black down the cushion, which he rolled in to win the cup.

In the plate final, Senghenydd overcome a deficit after the first two frames to win the remaining three against Wellington Boot.

FINAL (April 11th, at Taffs Well)

COUNTY CONS (+5) 1

CATHAYS CONS (+25) 3

Division One side Cathays Cons won the inaugral CDSL inter-divisional handicap cup against Premier League County Cons. Appropriately it was Division one rankings winner Dave Standage who clinched the win for Cathays.

Cathays went 2-0 up thanks to wins by Rob Baker and Leon against Luke Haines and James Llewellyn, both frames clinched on the brown. In the third frame, County pulled back into the match as Tom Cross won his frame. But Standage gave Cathays an unassailable 3-1 lead in the fourth frame, with a win against Kevin Brown. Dave did enough to keep the handicap lead into the colours and clinched the frame on the brown.

The CDSA Interdivisional Team Cup is for teams from both divisions. This is a handicapped tournament, with handicaps based on league performances in the first half of the season. They are specified below, and are per man, per frame, so a team with a start of +25 will have 25 points put onto their score AT THE START of every frame if playing a team allocated a SCRATCH score.

    1. For failing to forward the result in time. Try not to report the win after you`ve been told your team was scratched, Graham normally posts the results but forgot for once as it was a cup match. There were enough posts made on the forum by Kevin asking about your match result that if anyone of your team had checked the forum on a regular basis they would`ve noticed it. The lge rules state that it`s the responsbility of both teams to send the result in, not for the committee to go chasing for it. By the way, aren`t you on the committee as the chairman of the CDSA this year..??
