Penarth BL beat local rivals Penarth Road 3-2 to move into second place by virtue of games won. In that game, Neil Tomkins ended Ryan Rowlands’ impressive 11 match 100% record to enable Rhys Carpenter to move to join top in the rankings. Shane Virgin made 52 for Wellington, his second fifty of the season.
