It seems at this stage that the title will be between these two teams as they have built up a big lead over 3rd placed SWS who had a bye. In the player rankings, which have now been updated, Steve King of leaders Canton ‘A’ has won a superb 14 out of 14 whilst the Welly Thursday challenge has been led by Huw Carpenter, who is unbeaten after 12, and Ben Chung with 10 wins from 11.

Roath Labour move into 4th place with a 5 – 0 win over Trec C. Taffs Well lost 3 – 2 to Savoy to stay in 5th place. Senghenydd drop down to 6th as they asked to rearrange their match against Canton Libs Z. Gower lost 4-1 to Rumney BL who recorded an important win to check their slide. Other wins this week went to Cathays Cons who beat No Balls 4 -1.
