Canton Libs ‘A’ whitewash Savoy to extend gap to 4 points as King wins again

Canton Libs A move a point further ahead in the Thursday League after beating Savoy 5-0, ensuring Steve King keeping his 100% record. Can anyone stop him from winning the rankings? Wellington Thursday are 4pts adrift with a game in hand after beating Canton Libs Z 4 – 1 without rankings contender Huw Carpenter. Taffs Well moved into a very distant 3rd place with a 4 – 1 win over SWS who now drop to 4th. Roath Labour had a bye this week and so drop to 5th place. Senghenydd beat Cathays Cons 3 -2 to stay in 6th. Trec B are still in 8th place helped with a 4 – 1 win over Canton Libs B. Other results this week the Gower beat No Balls 5 – 0 and Rumney BL beat Trec C 3 – 2.

The player rankings are back up to date now and King leads Kevin Jones of Taff’s Well by 2 wins. As well as King’s brilliant 100% record, Huw Carpenter has 14 from 14 and there are other impressive records by the likes of Jones, Ben Chung, Macauley Cole and Tuesday rankings contender Rhys Carpenter.
