Once again there is no change at the top of the Thursday League as Canton Libs A and Welly Thursday won 3-2 against Cathays Cons and Savoy respectively. Canton Libs A were helped by unbeaten Steve King who made two 41 breaks in the same frame. It came down to a very high class deciding frame between John Hicks and Malcolm Griffiths, which Malcolm eeked out with some quality safety play. SWS again stay in 3rd place with an impressive 4 – 1 win over rivals Senghenydd. Taffs Well are still in 4th after losing 3 -2 to the Gower. Roath Labour stay in touch with the battle for 3rd after a 4 – 1 win over No Balls. Elsewhere there were wins for Trec B who beat Canton Libs Z 3 – 2 and for the improving Canton Libs B who beat Trec C 4 – 1.
