Savoy maintain 100% record in wide open Premier Division #cardiff #barry #snooker

A clear lead is now visible in the Premier Division, which came about after Savoy gave Tuesday champions of last year Fairwater a beating in Barry. 4-1 was the scoreline, leaving Savoy, always potential contenders, a full three points clear of Trecenydd, who suffered their first defeat by the unpredictable Canton Libs. A 50 break is reported for one R. Humphries in that match.

South Wales Snooker are now bringing up the rear, losing to Park Cons quite heavily, while County moved well away from the foot of the table with a resounding win over their bunnies from Penarth Road. Penarth’s line up is strong, but inconsistent and certainly unlucky on the evidence of Tuesday night. Park Club are now flying the flag for the former ‘Thursday’ teams, in fifth spot, but every team now has a win under its belt, and only one side has yet to lose, so it looks like a very tight season ahead.

Cup games this coming week. Park Club – please be aware that SWS will take County’s place in the main draw after last week’s result.
