Sam Thomas and Ryan Rowlands completed a notable double of both CDSL pairs titles last week with a whitewash of Tom Cross and Kevin Brown in the Handicap Pairs final at Taffs Well. It follows their victory over team mates Bennett and Greening in the Open Pairs and they match the feat of Huw Carpenter and Layton Brooks four years ago in winning the double.

For Ryan it completes a fantastic season, with a hat-trick of singles and doubles titles having also won his first Cardiff Open title and a successful Welsh ranking season
