County Cons have moved to the top of the table after a 4-1 win over Trecenydd saw them overtake Canton Libs A, after they were defeated by Park Cons by the same scoreline. It was the third defeat in a row for the champions, whilst Senghenydd closed the gap on Savoy in third place after a 5-0 win against Rumney British Legion. The race to finish in the top half of the table is incredibly close after wins for Canton Libs Z and Mackintosh saw them leapfrog Trecenydd and Cathays Cons, with Taff’s Well also in the running after their excellent form continued with a win over South Wales Snooker A. With two games left, there are five teams chasing two places, with only two points separating them.
