Congratulations to Kishan Hirani who registered the first century of the season as he helped Canton Libs A to an impressive 4-1 away to Cathays Cons. He was almost matched by Ryan Rowlands of Savoy who missed the 13th red on the way to a maximum 147 break, to finish on 96, as they beat Cayhays Cons 4-1. In the same match Sam Thomas made a 88, to make it one of the best nights for individual performances for a few seasons, and ensure Savoy kept pace with the leaders Taff’s Well A who beat Rumney British Legion 5-0. Cuesaders move into 4th place with a 4-1 win at Canton Libs B, and their neighbours Canton Libs Z kept up their recent good form with a 4-1 defeat of South Wales Snooker. Taff’s Well A also recorded a 4-1 victory as they beat Cardiff Cuesports to move into a share of fifth place. It’s been an outstanding start to the season with the standard of play improving with each game, and the title race looking as competitive as ever.
