Canton Libs A closed the gap at the top after an exciting 3-2 win against title rivals Savoy this week, with Ed Topham clinching the crucial frame after Canton had been 2-1 down. Cuesaders consolidated their position in third place with a convincing 4-1 against Cardiff Cuesports, while Taff’s Well A kept up their fine form with a 5-0 win at home to South Wales Snooker. A resurgent Park Cons won their fourth game in a row to move into sixth place, and mean that only six points separate as many teams at the top of the table. Canton Libs B had a very good 4-1 win at Rumney British Legion, whilst the leaders Taff’s Well B agreed to a request by Senghenydd to postpone their game for a later date.
