Mackintosh kept up their excellent run of form with another win this week, but they had to come from behind and win a decider to defeat Savoy B 3-2. This gave their rivals an opportunity to close the gap, which they took advantage of as Taff’s Well B won their derby against Taff’s Well A 5-0 and Canton Libs A beat Cathays Cons 4-1. Both matches featured 60+ breaks by the top two players in the league Rhys Carpenter and Kishan Hirani, who maintain their 100% records with one match left until we reach the halfway stage.

The surprise result of the week came at South Wales Snooker as they registered their first win of the season with a 5-0 win against Savoy A, which gave Senghenydd the chance to close the gap on fourth place to one point. Senghenydd are one of the form teams in the league as they won their fourth game in a row with a 3-2 win over Park Club, and their run is matched by Cuesaders who also won by the same scoreline over Canton Libs B to continue their move up the table. Canton Libs Z remain in sixth place after a 4-1 win at Rumney British Legion who will be looking for a win next week to end their run of five defeats.
