Taff’s Well A’s defence of the Malcolm Keenor Trophy has started well with a 4-1 win at Senghenydd in the first leg of the opening round of matches.

Savoy matched that result with a victory at Cathays Cons, whilst Taff’s Well B also won by the same scoreline at Mackies Lost Boys.

The other three matches were closer affairs with Trecenydd beating Fairwater 3-2, Canton Libs Z winning 3-2 at Cuesaders and Canton Libs B will defend a 3-2 advantage in the second leg against Rumney British Legion.
