The end of the season is a time to reflect on the year’s events, and since we’ve had three teams gain more than 100 points this year we thought we’d take a look at how this compares with previous seasons.
Since the Premier League was reformed instead of the Tuesday and Thursday leagues in 2012-13, there have been 7 winners of the title, so we at the CDSA thought we’d compare those winning teams to see which one has the best record.
Given that most seasons have had different amount of matches, we averaged out the amount of points per match
2012/13 – Savoy – 18 matches – 71 points – Average points per game 3.9
2013/14 – Penarth Road B – 15 matches – 61 points – Average points 4.1
2014/15 – County Cons – 21 matches – 94 points – Average points 4.5
2015/16 – Taff’s Well B – 22 matches – 101 points – Average points 4.6
2016/17 – Canton Libs A – 26 matches – 119 points – Average points 4.6
2017/18 – Savoy – 24 matches – 104 points – Average points 4.3
2018/19 – Savoy – 24 matches – 109 points – Average points 4.5
