The big news in the Tuesday League this week was the first defeat of the season for Mark Bennett. Mark Green from the University was the player to end his 18 match unbeaten run – as the Uni beat Savoy 3-2 – and it was Mark’s first defeat since he lost to Travis Furnish at Potters Bar on Jan 4th. The result leaves Ryan Rowlands on his own with a 100% record after 11 matches after he won again this week, this time against the Wellington, and allows Rhys Carpenter to move up into second place with his impressive record of 10 from 11.

At the top of table Fairwater maintained their 7 point lead with a 3-2 win over Trecenydd and County won the battle of 2nd and 3rd by the closest of margins as Alun Squire of the Legion rattled the deciding black against Tom Cross.
