This week saw one of the best matches of the season as Savoy came from two down to beat fellow title challengers Canton Libs A 3-2. A dominant start by Ed Topham (50 break) and Kishan Hirani (94) put Canton firmly in control, but wins for Ryan Rowlands, Graham Bailey and Tom Davie saw the Barry team clinch the win to remain in second place.
Taff’s Well B extended their lead at the top with a very good performance to beat Senghenydd 4-1, with a 72 clearance from Tom Cross and a 59 by Macauley Cole being the highlight. Next week will make the title picture clearer as Canton Libs A play their game in hand two days before facing Taff’s Well B in a title showdown.
Park Cons produced a very good performance to beat Cuesaders 3-2, whilst Cathays Cons beat Canton Libs B by the same scoreline to close the gap on Taff’s Well A in fifth place, after they succumbed to a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Canton Libs Z.
Rumney British Legion comfortably won the bottom of the table clash 5-0 away to South Wales Snooker to close the gap on the sides above them.
