The 2015-16 season started with 5-0 wins for the champions (now playing as Taff’s Well B) and Savoy, against Park Cons and Canton Libs Z respectively. There were also victories for Senghenydd, Canton Libs B and Cathays Cons, but it was at the home of last year’s runners-up Canton Libs A, where the most significant result of the night took place. An impressive 3-2 win for a reinforced Cuesaders side sets an early marker for the Llandaff team, who, on the evidence of this opening win, look sure to mount a title challenge this season. There were also a number of good breaks this week, the most notable being a 57 from Ryan Rowlands of Savoy, and a 54 from Twm Jones of Canton Libs A.
