The group stages of the Handicap Cup and Plate started this week with the first of the round-robin matches. In Group A Cuesaders made the perfect start with a 5-0 win at Taff’s Well A, while Rumney British Legion had an excellent 3-2 win away to Canton Libs Z.

In Group B Cathays Cons were the only team to win at home after overcoming Canton Libs B 4-1, whilst the most significant result of the night came in Barry as Canton Libs A narrowly beat Savoy 3-2.

The Plate started with two 4-1 away wins for Taff’s Well B and Park Cons against Cardiff Cuesports and Senghenydd respectively.

The points system will be the same as the league, with the winning team getting a bonus point in addition to any frames won. The tables will be available to view in the Team Knockout page of the website shortly.
