Taff’s Well B overcame title rivals Savoy 3-2 in a tense encounter to extend their lead at the top of the table, thanks largely to Rhys Carpenter’s impressive win over Mark Bennett in the opening frame. Cuesaders stay in second place after a 3-2 win at Canton Libs Z, while Canton Libs A gained ground on the leaders after winning 5-0 at Cuesports. The shock of the night came at Park Cons as Rumney British Legion claimed an excellent 3-2 win to record back-to-back victories, while Cathays Cons and Senghenydd both recorded very good 5-0 wins at Canton Libs B and South Wales Snooker respectively to move up the table.
