Top 3 pull away

The top 3 teams in the league all won 3-2 this week to pull away at the top of the table. Taff’s Well B won the big match of the week defeating Cuesaders after being 2-0 down to the Llandaff side, with Tom Cross winning the decider to remain at the top of the individual rankings.

Savoy kept in touch after beating Rumney British Legion, with Mark Bennett’s 68 break being the highlight, but the game of the night took place at Canton Libs as the A team managed a close win over Canton Libs B. The match had three black ball frames with Twm Jones’s win being the only one-sided frame thanks to an excellent 82 break. That win means Canton Libs A can close the gap at the top when they play their game in hand against Park Club.

Taff’s Well A remain in 5th place after a convincing 4-1 win over South Wales Snooker, whilst Park Club move up the table thanks to a win by the same scoreline over Canton Libs Z.

The other match of the week saw Senghenydd win a close match 3-2 against Cathays Cons to stay in touch with the mid-table teams.
