The top of the table changed dramatically this week after Savoy A edged their match 3-2 against previously unbeaten Mackintosh, with a 91 break from Mark Bennett being the highlight. They are joined on 28 points by Taff’s Well B after they won 5-0 against Savoy B, who are now the only team left with a 100% record.

However, all 3 teams are a single point behind new leaders Canton Libs A, who secured an impressive 5-0 whitewash over Rumney British Legion to lead the field. The top 4 sides have now pulled away and a fascinating battle for the title lies ahead.

The other big win of the week came for Park Club, who move into 5th place thanks to a 5-0 victory over South Wales Snooker, whist Senghenydd gained a very good 4-1 win at Cathays Cons. The Canton derby was won by the B team, as they overcame the Z side 3-2, whilst Cuesaders beat Taff’s Well A by the same scoreline.
