Jason Hewitt looks certain to defend his Player of the Year title after he clinched his 18th victory out of 20 league matches this week with another convincing win that included two 40 breaks to maintain his lead at the top of the individual rankings. It helped his side Mackintosh to a 3-2 win over Canton Libs Z, but it wasn’t enough to close the gap on the champions Savoy as they won 5-0 to extend their lead at the summit of the Premier League.

Canton Libs B maintained their 11-point advantage at the top of Division One despite a 3-2 defeat at home to Taff’s Well following Canton Libs Z’s loss by the same scoreline to Savoy.

Taff’s Well B kept up the chase for second place in the Premier League with a 4-1 win over Fairwater, whilst Trecenydd also won 4-1 against Mackies Lost Boys, with Cathays Cons matching that score at Senghenydd.
