Fairwater Cons remain top of the Premier League after they won 4-1 at Division One leaders Canton Libs Z, with Terry Garland recording the highest break of the week with a 54 and wins for Twm Jones, Luke Pitman and Shaun O’Connell.

However, despite that result their lead at the top has been cut to one point after Mackintosh had a walkover 5-0 win over Rumney British Legion after they failed to fulfil the fixture. Savoy are still in with a shout after they beat Cuesaders 4-1 with yet another frame-winning contribution from Sam Thomas and wins for Mark Bennett, Jason Summerhayes and Geoff Sheppard.

Canton Libs B won 4-1 at Llandaff Warriors with Ed Topham registering a 50 break and James Facey making a 44, with Jason Veal winning Llandaff’s only frame, whilst Cathays Cons won 3-2 at Senghenydd. Trecenydd Snooker recorded an excellent 4-1 win against Taff’s Well to close the gap on the Division One leaders after wins for Dylan Emery, Jamie Foster, Tony Williams and Chris Garwood with a 49 break.
