Khurram Khan made sure of the win after beating Rory Wigmore, but wins for James Facey against Ronnie Allen and James Wigmore over Brian Rees saw Canton finish the match strongly.

Chris Johnson then won the crucial third frame on the black against Jimmy Llewellyn, and Nural Khan’s win against Kevin Brown took the match to an entertaining decider which saw Geoff Sheppard edge past Glyn Jones on the black.

Ben Griffiths started the comeback after defeating Ciaran Paul, before Rob McKenna made it 2-2 with victory over Chris Garland, and Shaun O’Connell finished things off for the his side after he beat Dai Rideout in the final frame.
However, the performance of the week came at County Conservative Club as Roath Cons registered their first win of the league season away to The Cons, and once again doing so after finding themselves 2-0 down. Ryan Bowgen and Dave Earls got The Cons off to a great start with wins over Clive Marsh and Phil Storer respectively, but Andrew Champion won the third frame against Dave Standage.
