Fairwater Cons Mack completed their 2023-24 league campaign with a resounding 4-1 win over Taff’s Well to finish 14 points clear at the top of the Premier League, the biggest winning margin since 2006. The first frame was a tightly-contested one with Jason Hewett winning on the black against Ian Purnell, before Alan Hurley comfortably beat Tom Cross to make it 2-0. Khurram Khan finishes joint-second in the individual rankings after he defeated Jimmy Llewellyn on the colours to seal the win and Jacob Boyle’s victory over Glyn Jones made it 4-0, before Kevin Brown’s consolation win against Ronnie Allen secured third place for his side.

Canton Libs finish level on points with Taff’s Well after they beat runners-up Fairwater Cons 3-2, but had to come from behind after Rob McKenna’s win against Ed Topham. James Facey levelled the match after beating Twm Sion Jones and Rory Wigmore put Canton ahead with victory over Terry Garland. James Wigmore made sure of the win after defeating Steve Flanagan, before Steffan Davies secured joint runners-up spot in the individual rankings after beating Tony Chick.

Mackintosh Snooker finished their season with a 5-0 whitewash of Roath Cons to win Division One by nine points, with Eassa Din winning the opener against Andrew Champion. Mike Nessbert doubled their lead after beating Alan Wright, and Billy Connors secured the win after he defeated Clive Marsh. Craig Bolton’s defeat of Phil Storer made it 4-0 and Nathan Dunne completed the victory after beating Lee Cornock. Meanwhile, The Cons secured runners-up spot in Division One after beating Caerphilly Cons 3-2 to move up above them in the table.

The Rumney derby was an entertaining one with Graeme Prance’s side edging the match 3-2, and they got off to the perfect start with Justin Behnan’s win against Mike Watts and Paul Chichester’s defeat of Chris Johnson. Dave Richards pulled one back after he beat Andy McGill but Alex Ellis sealed the victory after his win over Simon Nakata, and a 44 break from Nural Khan against Tony Chick finished a closely-fought match.
