Fixtures for 2014/15 published; season to start on Sept 18th

We can confirm that the 2014/15 Cardiff and District Snooker League season (sponsored by One 4 Sports) will begin on September 18th and that fixtures can now be found here.

For the first time ever this year the league will be split during the season.

We have had 15 teams register for the new season, which is a difficult number as it would mean a 30 week season leaving no room for cups. Therefore, the first half of the season will see every team playing each other, with the league then splitting into two divisions for the second half of the season. All points will be carried over and the top 8 sides will form a Premier League and play each other once to decide a champion, whereas the bottom 7 teams will form a Division 1, again with a trophy for the team that comes out on top. This will mean a 22 week season, which leaves enough room for a whole league handicap cup throughout the season, and a divisional cup when the league has finished.

The player registration form and result submission forms have been updated for the new season. As ever we will be maintaining player rankings and therefore full match details are required.
