Cathays Cons produced another excellent performance this week to move into contention for the Premier League title as we approach the halfway point in the season. Their fifth win in six matches came at the expense of struggling Taff’s Well after a comfortable 4-1 victory moved them into third place, only three points behind leaders Mackintosh.

Ronnie Allen’s side made it five wins in a row with a 4-1 win over Llandaff Warriors to move back to the summit, whilst Fairwater Cons slip back to second after they won 3-2 versus Trecenydd Snooker, with Dylan Emery once again producing the individual highlight of the week with a 65 break.

Rumney British Legion made it back-to-back victories with a 3-2 win against Senghenydd, whilst Canton Libs Z extended their lead at the top of Division One after registering a 3-2 win over champions Savoy, with Canton Libs B beating Cuesaders 4-1 to overtake Taff’s Well at the foot of the Premier League table.
